Default Hello

Hello everyone! My name is Tracy and I live in East TN in the US. I am new to growing orchids. My hubby got me my first one about a month ago from Lowes. I have done fairly well with it. While I was at WalMart a week ago they had some left over from Valentines Day on clearance. I picked up one of them that still looked good. My daughter took me back last night and I got three more. These ones will need help. I will find my way over to the beginner board and see if I can get some. Anyways I look forward to getting know people.

Tracy

I'll add my welcome, too. Check out the American Orchid Society website. They have care sheets for different types of orchids. Do you know what type they are? Phalaenopsis are the most likely ones to be found at big box stores.
I was new two years ago, and now I have almost 100. Tell your husband he doesn't know what he's in for!

Thank you all for the nice welcomes! I do believe they are Phals. I am doing my best to bring back to healthy life the three I got from Walmart.

Hi Tracyscpks! and welcome to Orchid Board.

I've only been a member for a couple of months, but I've already learned a ton from the folks here. Every one is super nice and always willing to help. Another nice thing about the members here: they ALWAYS support, encourage, and enable your decision to buy more, more, MORE orchids. So even if your poor hubby doesn't know what he started, your new friends here will understand. Welcome!
