It took me quite awhile to build that list but without it I would end up buying duplicates all the time. Thanks for the welcome!

Very impressive list! I just have a total of 5 orchids. I have many other plants as well though! Orchids are definitely some of the most beautiful flowers! |

I wish I had a greenhouse now but finding a spot in my backyard will be tricky with so many trees and uneven terrain. I will figure out something eventually though.

LOL, I know it is kinda scary having that many chids without a greenhouse to protect them in year round. I just do the best I can having them outside and more than likely in the garage for winter. The only reason I don't have phals in my collection is that they never grow for me. I have never had success with them so I just grow what thrives in my conditions which is mostly Catt types.

You know orchids are like bunnies...you start out with two and suddenly you have hundreds. If you have 5 already it won't be long until they multiply.

Hi Shann!
I'm new to both the orchid board and to orchids... But I see you have one that I also have - Epi. Rene Marques x psuedoepidendrum 'Hawaii'. I bought one in a bag at Home Depot - and the cat chewed it pretty badly. So I bought another and potted them together. I had 4 new growths between the two plants this summer (housed outdoors) - all are somewhat burgundy tinged. Now I've moved them into my "green house" (all artificial light - HI mixed cool and warm bulbs, temp 65-75, humidity 60-75%). Now even the mature growth is fading in its green-ness, and becoming lightly burgundy. HELP! Is this normal? Pictures I see online make me think no...
Where am I going wrong? Roots look plentiful and heathy - thin, white, with apple green tips. I've been fertilizing with 5-5-5 every other week, and watering when dry (maybe every 5-7 days?) with a tepid tap flush of 5-10 minutes (fairly soft, but with Na 120 ppm). I've never seen any evidence of pests.
And no hint of blooming... 
Does anyone have ideas?
Should I start a new thread?
