Default Cutting Phal stem

Hello. Should have left the stems intact as there was no need to cut them. Sometimes they rebloom from the original stem. The plant will be OK and when you spray it again make sure it is early in the day or at least when the plant has enough time to dry off.

What is brown now? The leaves? I know around Valentine's day, Walmart had phals for sale and it said to add an ice cube for watering it. Did yours say that? That was such a ridiculous instruction, but most don't know the error of that statement. I revisited that Walmart after the holiday was over and all the phals were dead or dying.
Anyway, how are you caring for it? What light are you giving it? There is a great phal culture sheet here on OB to check out, and once we see pics or know how you are caring for it, we may be able to make suggestions to help you. Meanwhile, hang in there....we can help you, I'm sure.

kiki-do,

it did have an instruction care labe, and it said to put ice on it. but, i didnt put ice on it, because i know enough about flowers and plants to know that ice would be a bad idea at best. the leaves hae like brown spots and stuff, im going to post pictures today

Will look forward to pics. You may need to check the roots on it. Was it in moss or bark? So glad you knew not to add the ice. I'm still upset that they would even advise that. How many people have lost a plant to that horrific advice, then have the opinion that orchids are just too hard to grow, and never try it again. Grrrr!
