Default Hi, from the NW Washington

I have been observing the Orchid board for about four months or so as I've gathered information about taking care of Orchids. I have been buying orchids for the last year and I think now is the time to introduce myself and share what I have learn. In the next couple of months I should post some picture of some phals that will be blooming shortly and I hope you enjoy the pictures. I also plan to give a thread on an attempt to flask a phalaenopsis from seed (which should be a fun science project). I hope to learn more and as always buy more plants.

For me it all started with a Dendrobium Noid that my parents have had that has never bloomed in my life. I hope in the next couple of years to get it to bloom with all the information I've gathered. The second plant that I was introduced to was a Phal white Noid, the one with big white flowers that lasts for months on end. It was left in the back room in the dark and I rescued it from my parents and put it in the bathroom upstairs that has a skylight. It has bloomed every year since and I hope to do it with all my other plants.

Welcome to the OB! Good job on your white noid phal--I bet it won't take a couple of years to get your den to bloom with all the help you'll get here.

Welcome aboard Htsorchid. I lurked around for a while before I joined too. It's a lot more fun now. Post some pics when you can, and enjoy.

Welcome to the board all the way from Thailand. Just be careful how many Orchids you put in your bathroom....especially in the shower, otherwise you might start stinking
