Default Hi from Texas, USA

Hi guys!
I am sambar, a high school student and beginner orchid enthusiast. I have some decent experience in houseplants, and until last month, was not at all familiar with the wonderful ways of the orchids. Now, I am the proud parent of 3 phals, one dendrobium, a brassavola, a cattleya, and a enanthleya.
So happy to be part of this community!

Welcome aboard, and if you dont mind please avail us all of your home place, ect. We would all welcome that!
Personally, I was raised up all my life in Ft, Worth over 50, actually more, years. In 2020 I moved to the south down below Bay City, that isn’t over by Houston. I’m about a little more than 100 miles from there. I live in Palacios, actually about 5 miles from Blessing Tx. On the tres Palacios river. That flows into the Matagorda bay.

Welcome aboard.

Be aware that orchids are the “Goldilocks” of the plant world, with each one having its own set of “just right” growing conditions. You have a fairly broad range of requirements in that small collection, so study up!

My brother, if your speaking about my climate, I have to say its totally different than up there where I lived so many years. Its dryer up there, and that Really changes things. Anyway I hope you hang with us.
