Hello everyone,

After years, entering and viewing posts as guest, my sister SADE has insisted to me on entering to the forum and participate. My English is very basic, I suppose I will have to use Google Translate a lot.

I have been raising orchids for many years and I have an OrchidShop in Santo Domingo, the capital. My mother is my great teacher, but she is already 83 years old and sometimes she does not know out about the new cultures techniques, so I pick them up here and I tell her about them, however her instinct is "supersonic" after so many years in the garden.

In my country we don't have so many species or fancy orchids, but many Phals, Dendrobiums, Cattleyas and Vandas; our gardens are full of plants that need a lot of light, air movement and sometimes heat to flower well.

I will try to contribute within my knowledge and learn to see if I can somehow extend my offer and personal collection.

My sister is a rebel; nothing that I advise her, she listens to me. She says that here in the Forum she has better inputs; and probably yes, since her conditions are different from mine.

A hug to all !!

Hello! Your home sounds like a wonderful growing area and not having as many choices of plants is, in my opinion, a good thing. I'm sure any photos you send us will be as lovely as those your sister has shared with us.

welcome.
We've seen SADE's collection, WE'd love to see yours.

Also new growing techniques, that's right up my alley too.

My sisters never listen to me either. Funny that.
