Default Hello from Bronx, New York.

Hello everyone,
My name is Glen. I am fairly new to orchids. I have always had a love a nature and was lucky to inherit my green thumb from my parents. I am also lucky enough to have great space indoor and outdoor to garden flowers, trees, shrubs, herbs, fruits and veggies.
A few years ago my husband got me an orchid and since then I have been hooked. It's so hard not to. My Phal. collection has grown a bit and they are doing quite well so this year he encouraged me to try different orchids. He took me to an orchid nursery and I felt like I was in heaven. I didnt know how many different orchids there were and that they could be fragrant! Well needless to say my collection of 6 phals turned into 30+ different types: bllra., bcd., c., lc., den., mtssa., onc., ons., pap., recc., zglm, phap., and of course phal. (I know, I think I over did it.) I guess I can say now I am a hobbyist. Hopefully I will have success with my new additions and help them grow happy and healthy. I know I will have many , many questions.
I am looking forward to this new adventure and meeting others on this journey.

Hello and welcome. You'll find lots of fellow orchid addicts -- er, um, hobbyists here. We run the gamut from very new to very experienced. It sounds like you will fit right in.
