I totally agree!! I just joined and have already learned so much. The main thing I learned is that here, you don't need to fear not knowing. Just ask the question and you'll find the answer. I know because I've had some questions I thought were pretty dumb but they were still answered. Thanks for your patience with a newbie.

Hi to all! Growing up with Orchids, it was easy to take them for granted...
I have just purchased two new friends... A Phal Swan and a Taisuco Firebird. I look forward to learning and growing my relationship with these remarkable flowers.

A question to the circle: The firebird is in a 4" pot and has 2 stems. Is this ok?
Peace
Phoenix

Hi Nita, Cym Lover, and Phoenix! Welcome to Orchid Board!
Phoenix, you asked if a two stem phal could stay in a 4" pot quite a while ago. The answer is yes, just watch for top heaviness. After blooms are done, you may want to go up a size if it looks potbound. Sorry, for the delay, but your individual posts should be in their own forum introduction so we don't miss you! We are so glad you could join us and we enjoy your being amonst us orchid lovers! We also love pictures, so don't hesitate to post them to share with us! Welcome!

Thanks for the welcome Kiki - guess I should ask my question about my Wils. Red Pacific in a new thread, right?

Nita
