Hi, my name is Blake and I'm an Orchidaholic
Glad to see so many familiar names in this forum. My name is Blake and I am obsessed with orchids. Though I've only been growing for less than a year, I have over a hundred growing happily in a homemade greenhouse my father and I built (my wife kicked them out of the house). I have an extremely wide range of orchids but have recently started to focus on phrags and possibly neos due to the influence of two other members of this forum I'm always willing to talk about anything, so hit me up if you're bored or just wanna talk.

Hiya Blake,
I'm Heather - oh wait, I think you knew that already!
Welcome.
Wish I'd get kicked out into a greenhouse.
Lately, I just get kicked out!
(lol! I kill myself...)

Hi Blake, welcome to the OB!
Getting to be a lot of phrag lovers around here. Enjoy the forums.
Heather, sounds like you have greenhouse envy! Wish I could get rid of the house behind me and build one too!

How long have you had your greenhouse? Your plants look healthy. Those vandaceous plants are huge.

I finished building it about 4 months ago. The vandas seem to really like it. I have a homemade misting system that I built that sprays them down for 2 minutes 4 times a day and then they are heavily fed once a week. The "huge" one you see was actually pretty much given to me at our society's last show (with the root system, its about 5 foot tall). It won a blue ribbon and the lady that grew it offered it to me for $30, naturally I accepted and my wife actually liked this one. I guess because the flower is green.
