Hi Dend!

I'm so glad you joined - it means I'm not the newest newbie!

Hi Oscarman,
I am sorry for the long over-due reply.
This is the first time I join any internet forum group. I struggle to learn how to navigate around. What are 'threads'? How do I post a question? Maybe, you can tell me where to find those instructions. I live in Lloyd, Alberta. I am a beginner(4 yrs). I grow orchids in windowsills and a 'cool room' in the basement with fluerescent lights. I start to experiment with Den Nobile this year and hope the cool night temperature will help initate flower buds.

Aboard Dend...its great you have joined the OB, a lot of interesting members in various growing conditions and a wealth of information awaits you.

I am not so sure there is a "how to" on navigating a forum but a "thread" is merely what I, you, and other members post throughout a day and respond back and forth. If you are referring to the bottom of a post where it says "previous thread/next thread" that is the next/previous posting in that particular forum catagory. If you take a look at our main forum page you will see where there are a multiple topics within them are threads from our members and a mere click and you will be able to read/respond/post.

We have a gallery where you can post your s and than it becomes your personal gallery. You can also import your s from your computer into a thread and other members will be able to see your . cb979 (Sue) has found a wonderful add-on to resize your s. You can find this feature just underneath the "reply to thread" under additional options by clicking "manage attachments" I am unsure of where this thread is and she will most definitely help you in that respect...she is our "image" guru. If it makes you feel better I am in my own personal class "Photography 101" and can not seem to pass the darn thing , so if your is like mine a bit to be desired please post it anyway, as we all have/had to start somewhere

Hope this helps just a teeny bit and just remember no question is to silly to ask, just the question you don't ask. It's great that your here and enjoy the best forum on the web. The OB is the of forum's.
