Default Breaking the "Ice" with a floatie in hand.

Hi everyone, I'm getting hooked into the whole gardening thing no thanks to the missus. So last week while I was browsing the local fernery I saw these awesome little ones, and now I have my first orchids, YAY!

The two little babies are Dockrillia striolata and Dendribium kingianum {I understand that there is a name change for this one}.

They were a little unhappy when I got them but now they have new leaves. Where should I post a question about air circulation?

Cheers.

I would post that question in the Beginner Discussion.

Hello!

You can post questions in the beginner's forum.

But...

I can tell you right now, your Dockrilla striolata and Dendrobium kingianum are both lithophytes (they grow on rocks).

Dockrilla striolata grows on granite. Not sure what kind of rocks Dendrobium kingianum grow on in the wild, but I grow mine in diatomite.

Welcome to OB. It's a great place to get questions answered.

We love to see pics of orchids here.
