Default Hello from Vancouver :)

I used to be in the hobby several years ago, but had to get out of it. I've decided to get back into the hobby now. Rebuilding my collection from the ground up, starting with a Vanda Denisoniana which is in need of some TLC. I'm determined to make it a beauty though!

If anyone knows any locations in the Lower Mainland of BC to get decent orchids, or how to keep curious kitties from munching on them, please let me know

Hi Rebecca,
Forestview Gardens has good Paphs if you're interested in them. Cats and orchids have never mixed very well and anything I know that'd keep the cats away you probably wouldn't want in the house.

I'll second Ron on Forestview!! They have some great paphs and also have nice phal species and hybrids, and dendro's as well, I even got a Brassia caudata and a Catt hybrid from them as well.

Hello Rebecca,

FVGardens is great for Paphs indeed, and they also have interesting Phal species !
You will have a good opportunity to find local orchid sellers at the fraser valley orchid show next month (oct 17-18, Welcome to Orchid BC), and other renown international sellers (Orchids limited, Ecuagenera, J&L Orchids,...).
