Default Hi guys!
My name is Armin, I'm a beginner in growing orchids and yes, I'm addicted. I only have 7 years of experience but only with Phalenopsis. Recently I bought:
Massoevallia Schroederiana
Mtssa Cartagena x odm Gledhow
Lc. Orange Embers
Chysis Bractescens
Lycaste Skinneri
Cattleya
Paph. Pacific Magic
Zygopetalum Pinaroo x Titanic
Bllra. Tahoma Glacier x Milt. Purple
P. Amboinonsis

I live in London, Canada and I wonder if I can have some info on the orchids mentioned above... like detailed info on how to take care of them and some tips from experts....
Browsing the web I only get some pictures, prices and not much... maybe I don't know where to look... can anyone help? Thanks....

There is no Ottawa Orchid Society?
We have London Orchid Society... but even so... I'm driving 200 km to buy my orchids if I see what I like....

Welcome Armin. Nice collection you have, any pictures? Where do you go to get your orchids? There is OrchidWeb, they aren't too bad for basic info, otherwise there are some good books out there. Amoung my favourites there is Botanica's Orchids and Flora's Orchids. But I'm sure there are a few experts around here who can help too.

Aboard Armin as well as Phillip it's great to have you's both here with our addictive community. A wealth of information is just a click away. The OB has a gallery where you can show off your orchids. Sounds like you have a wonderful collection.

What should I do to have that... "MY Gallery" button on my posts? I love pictures and I'm photo maniac...

I just need some time to figure out how this forum works...lol. I will appreciate any help.
Regarding my colection, yes it's a beautiful one but I can't say is a colection because I bought every single orchid you are seeing there... so is not my work and those are not my results except for Phalenopsis...
I'm growing Phal for 7 years so I'm a newbie and I know almost nothing on other species.... I was lucky I met Kris today and he explained me a couple of interesting things... also he told me about Flora's Orchids... I bought it today at Chapters... I was passing by there and I remebered Kris told me about it...
I don't know if I'm going to buy any other orchids soon... my budget is under...sea. But I'm sure I'll buy some at London Orchid Show in 17 of March... I just can't resist... I like fragrant ones...
So... nice to know about you guys and... looking forward to have a long stay and see you at the orchids shows around...
