Default Hello from Florida

Have been growing orchids for many years and have about 500. I am the president of the local orchid society and have been passing on this great web sight to all our members.

I am located in Lake Placid and am president of The Orchid Society of Highlands County. We have over 230 members and average 100+ at our monthly meetings.I have 12' x 24' shade house and grow mostly cats and paphs. I also have about 50 Vandas that I grow out doors.

The administrator here, Marty ( ) has done some wonderful things for us orchidlovers including a special item available to societies. You should take a look at this, it's a great way to communicate with your members:

Nice to have you here! I am originally from Sebring, but am now located in Sarasota. Are there any orchid vendors around Lake Placid, Sebring, or Avon Park?

There are MANY species of native orchids in Highlands County... especially inbetween Sebring and Lake Placid along H-27, even out by Lake Istapoga and Spring Lake.
