Hi, I am new to this board and fairly new to the whole forum thing. I recently joined one other orchid forum and I have already learned a lot from this and the other forum just reading the posts.
I am not completely new to orchids. I have had Phals for 20+ years and have acquired some others along the way. I just recently decided that I wanted to know more about caring for the different kinds of orchids and expand my collection. I was just it time too! It seems my husband has gotten the "orchid bug"  and is adding orchids faster than I can read about them. Lashelle |

There is an orchid shop in San Antonio called Xanadu Orchids, but I have never been there. Have you? I'll probably check it out sometime. I haven't been motivated to go there because I was told that they have little or nothing to see in Cattleyas; that they specialize in Dendrobiums or something else.
I've dealt with seven or eight online vendors and a few Ebay sellers. One thing I like about Ebay is that you can sometimes find orchids there that are difficult to locate elsewhere.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)
