and Not from NY, but Michigan. I also have trouble with humidity in the winter. A humidifier helps a lot.

Yes, a humidifier definetly helps, but a few of my locations aren't humidifier friendly! (like my dining room) I do O.K., though. Nice to meet you too!

: I think we've met...regarding the "Ghosts"...you were extremely helpful and I thoroughly enjoyed the comraderi ..had no idea you were new to OB...I am originally from NY...grew up on LI...lived in Rochester for about 10 years....in Vermont since '84!...Glad to make your acquaintance and Welcome! Hi Dorothy....I've read many of your wonderful posts in the short time since I joined this great site!...just "heard mention" you're from Long Island!...I spent my formative years there!...well, the first 33 anyway...where are you from on LI? I lived in Hewlett-Cedarhurst in Nassau Cnty as a youngster; Huntington Sta and West Islip in Suffolk as an "adult"...so glad to meet you (aren't you one of the very special expert - guru's of orchids here at the Board?) Eileen

I am in the New Hyde Park region of Nassau County close to the Queens border. I am somewhat familiar with Huntington Sta, not so much with Hewlett-Cedarhurst or West Islip ...
I wouldn't consider myself an expert or guru at all .. as orchids are a continual learning .. I consider myself a perpetual beginner ..
but I thank you for the compliment
