Default Howdy All!

I think I may have stumbled into the wrong section of the forum, but it's a start. Although I'm not a newbie, I hardly qualify as an advanced grower either.
I have a small greenhouse in the back yard of our patio home in Phoenix. When I say small, I mean small! It started out as an 8x6 foot kit 5 years ago and with some engineering and architectural design, it's now 8x8. That made a world of difference.
There are probably 100 orchids in there. We have unique problems related to our climate, so I'm going to look for a forum that deals with hot climates. If I don't find one, I'll start one. See you there!

OK
What should the title be?
Growing in extreme climates?
Southwestern desert greenhouses?
Growing in a dry and hot climate?

Any ideas?
What do you think. I'm new at this.

Actually you don't need a new forum. Post under http://www.orchidboard.com/community...use-gardening/ or http://www.orchidboard.com/community...ed-discussion/ and most of the dry country folks on the board will probably see your posts. There are a lot of southwest desert country orchid growers here. Glad you chose to join. I'm interested in what you might want to post even though I'm in the snowy midwest.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)
