Sold as Zapata mujer.
Unknown orchid was sold as Zapata mujer but definitely not Phragmipedium. Thinking maybe a intermediate Cymbidium hybrid? The flowers are just starting to open. I have 2 fotos. One is the plant and the other the blossom.

Definately looks like Cymbidium to me, although I'm not an expert on Cymbidiums and can't tell you whether it's a species or hybrid.

I think this is a trade name, or else was very recently registered. I searched Orchidwiz, and found no registrations in any genus (also searched for "Zapata" and "mujer" contained in any name, found none) Registrations more recent than 3 months (or maybe a little more) wouldn't be in there. I also looked around the RHS registry to see if I might be able to find any reference and found nothing, but that reference tends to be pretty unforgiving.

Thank you to all for your replies. I think it is definitely some Cymbidium Hybrid. It is not uncommon here in Nicaragua for orchids to be misnamed or the name lost in translation when buying from venders.

Checked the RHS register. There are no orchids with Zapata as part of the name.
