Once a NOID, always a NOID, unfortunately. Especially with these hybrid Phals since too many varieties look similar. If it has a tag from the grower, sometimes commercial nurseries include a catalogue on their website. If you are lucky you will get the trade name, and in some very rare cases I've gotten the proper registered name as well.

I like to add the potential ID to my NOID name tag. For instance, I have a NOID that looks and smells very much like Phal Sweet Memory, so the I changed the label to Phal NOID Sweet Memory.

That being said, with the pink lip I'd guess that yours may have some Doritis in it, that seems to be a trait that appears in many Dtps. EX: Dtps Little Fairy which I nearly ordered some weeks ago (which also inherited compact size from the Doritis lineage.)

Finally found the hybrid/species. It is a (hopefully) Phalaenopsis/or Doritaenopsis luis berry!

It may be, but it's more likely Phalaenopsis unidentifiacus. There are growers who literally pump out thousands of hybrids. Sometimes you can contact them and they will tell you what the plant is, but comparing your flower to photos of known, named bybrids isn't useful since hundreds upon hundreds of hybrids look almost exactly the same.

That is not a Liu's Berry. I have one, and the flower shape is different and the petals are not pure white. Like I wrote earlier, Noid Phals are nearly impossible to identify with any level of certainty because there are just too many hybrids that look similar. That's the way it is....

...and to complicate things - the same hybrid can look different in each plant. It's like children from the same family may look different, then that's why hybrids can look different too, unless they are vegetatively propagated. So you'll never know for certain what it is.

It is fun to look and see what it is like, especially if you ever need to replace it and want something similar, otherwise just enjoy it for it's beauty.

NO ID....noid....if it didn't come with a tag, there is no possible identification of your orchid...so many look alike, all one can say is that it is a phal. hybrid....that's it, NOID....I have had some spectacular noids, that seem to bloom eternally!...

if you put a tag on it, with a name that does not belong there, it is still a noid. you don't want to do that, for at some point it could conceivably become mixed up in a seed pod that would mess EVERYONE up....enjoy it as it is! a lovely noid!
