Can you post a pic of the plant also? It sort of looks like a Dendrobium bigibbum variety perhaps, but seeing the plant would certainly help.
It's nice!

Sure, once it get lights outside I will post a pic of the plant itself. What I got was one piece off of a massive, species sized one that someone won at a raffle. I really liked how large it was and hoped to grow one that large. I haven't detected a scent yet but last year there was a scent to the flowers.

mmmm... the plant remembers me some sort of Arachnis and also the flower, looking at it by the side, is strange for a Dendrobium. Maybe something like Arachnis hookeriana or something related?

Interesting. I thought they said it was a Dendrobium, but I could be very wrong.

A better picture of the stem would help, but it looks to me more like a monopodial. Something like a Vandofinetia White Crane. Is there any fragrance?

Please define what you mean by stem. I'd be happy to provide what I can for you. Last year there was a fragrance and I was told when I got it that it would smell strong, but I haven't smelled anything this year yet. It does grow more like a Vanda or other type of orchid rather than a Dendrobium based upon where the roots are coming from now that I think about it.

Vandaceous orchids do not have pseudobulbs. The space between their leaves is the visible part of the stem, and the leaves encircle the stem. The stem just keeps growing year after year, producing leaf after leaf. Is that how your orchid is growing? That's what it looks like to me.

Dendrobiums are sympodial and do not grow that way. Some dendrobiums though have canes so thin, and leaves long enough, to look almost like monopodial orchids if you weren't able to see the whole plant. That's why I'm asking about the stem.

Does not look like a Dendrobium to me either - from the pic of the plant it does look more like it is Vandaceous, instead of the Dendrobium tribe.
Vandas are my weak spot - have never had luck with them for some reason, so I leave this to someone else!
Best of luck on the ID!
