I'm a beginner and hoping to identify my 3 orchids
Default I'm a beginner and hoping to identify my 3 orchids

I am new to the world of orchids, and I am enjoying the 3 plants, I have so far. I am one of those who wants to know as much as I possibly can about each orchid I have. I have been looking on the Internet in an attempt to find the names of my little grocery store plants. I know they are phalaenopsis's but nothing more than that. I am hoping you can help me identify them with photos.
I won't always say so much but it said I should introduce myself since I am new. Thank you for your help and your patience.

Default Maybe identified 1st phal Sogo Go Tris. 'flora ark'

Maybe 1st photo is a, Sogo Go Tris. The description said this is a small plant, and my plant has only 1 inch blooms and 2" leaves across. I am not sure if it is naturally small or made small with chemicals

They are phalenopsis, or dtps, or a combination. Very difficult to actually find a name.

Welcome to the board, vincent858. As optimist opined and you already identified, you have Phalenopsis. The flower does look like Dtps sogo gotris. The second one looks like Yushan 'Little Pearl'. I have these two. The third one is probably another Dtps sogo--but I do not have this one, so I can't help you there.

These are all miniature Phalaenopsis that where hybridized using naturally small Phalaenopsis, like Phal equestris or ambionensis plus Doritis pulcherrima--which has been re-classified as a Phalaenopsis. If you continue to grow these plants, the leaves do get larger--about 4" from tip to stem. They make the perfect window sill orchid and their flowers are long lasting--very cheerful.

They are probably in sphagnum moss, so wait to water them when the moss feels almost crunchy. Water the roots. Do not let water stay in the center of the plant--the crown, as this may lead to crown rot. And water as early in the day as possible so that by nightfall, they will be moist, not saturated. Place them in a window that gets bright shade and plenty of fresh air.

I hope someone recognizes and can confirm our identification of at least these two plants. I would like to know what the third one could be as well. I encourage you to provide a picture of the entire plant including the flowers.

Matt, that's not Phal Yushan Little Pearl. It's much more consistently spotted than this. I have both this noid and 'little pearl' and the leaves are different colors too so it's definitely a different hybrid.

Without a tag or confirmation from the grower, you can never truly confirm what their hybrid name is since there are thousands of hybrids, many un-named in the Phal industry. But they are very lovely Phalaenopsis orchids and will do well with standard Phal care.
