Default It Did Have A Tag...

But the tag was misplaced when my friend's daughter thought the little plastic tabs sticking out of the pot where not necessary. This was back in the summer AFTER the plant flowered. So I had to wait until now for it to bloom again.

I do remember that this plant came from Better-Grow Nurseries.

Here is a picture of the flowers. I think it is lovely. Can you see the faint red streaks? Any body know what this one could be?

Phalaenopsis by MattWoelfsen, on Flickr

The plant has very large leaves about 10-12 inches. The flowers are 4" wide.

It is really pretty! I don't have any idea what it is, though. Maybe you could contact Better-Grow and ask them. Good luck!

Good idea. I did send them an email but haven't gotten a reply. In the meantime, I hope some Phalaenopsis flower aficionado can chime in.

You don't by any chance have photos of it flowering last time with the photos labled with the name.

That's how I identify mine if they loose tags. I have photos of every one in flower (except those that have never flowered, then I have plant photos) so that I can keep track of them if I loose the tags.

Of course that doesn't help if you don't have photos. This is a relatively standard looking Phal, so it might be difficult for anyone to ID. It does have a slightly more pointed look than many, so you never know.

Yes, I did photograph the plant when I acquired it. You reminded me about that Rosie, so I looked back and found a plant photo a year ago, but unfortunately, the tag was facing inwards! This flower is interesting to me as it is one of the few flowers that displays three colors on the petals--white to yellow with streaks of red veins. I've been looking online to see if I can find a similar flower but have not been successful.

That's a shame you can't see the tag

I've started renaming the photo files based on the name of the plant. I have a whole load from years ago though where I didn't do that and can't remember in all cases which plant it's a picture of
