Need help with IDs for old and new Dendrobiums
I need help from the OB community to ID some Dens. I have approximately 50 NOID Dendrobiums - lost tags, gifts, rescues, garage sales, etc. I have been updating their tags as they flower finding that it is impossible to ID all of the many hybrids out there. The numbered tag stays "224 - Dendrobium," and it stays on the Excel sheet and as a full citizen of the garden.
(1) An old HD plant flowering for the second time this year. It is growing on a podocarpus. We call it the Tree of Death because I mount sickly hybrids there and hope for the best. Think grandma on the ice floe. Only three fatalities in ten years - all Phals.
(2 - 3) Looks like a gouldii hybrid with beautiful purplish, brownish color. Picked up the large plant for $20 from a roadside vendor yesterday.
(4 - 5) This one was $20 from the same vendor with seven spikes just beginning to open. Also a spatulate hybrid? This one had a tag that read "D. raspberry."
