What kind of Orchid is this? Female
Question What kind of Orchid is this?

I took picture of this cute Orchid at the Fort Lauderdale Orchid show early this year. Would like to know what type is it?
Thanks.

Tindo, I can probably get you a piece off mine. Got something to trade? If you don't no problem, just remind me when the weather is cooler and I'll send a piece.

Thanks. I read about it after your answer. Can not grow it here in hot and humid South Florida.

Also anything needing sphagnum does not agree with me.
My Zygopetalum already went to Orchid heaven and a
cutting of Ludisia discolor is struggling to root .

So this one is not going to work for me but I sure like it.

Plumania, that Ludisia can take forever to root. I have it in a very shallow pot with spag. it has been there for about 4 months, still no roots but the leaves still look good and it is putting out a couple new growths. Dont give up on it....Jean

Sorry to go off topic on this thread, just wanted to tell Ron that the Maxillaria minuta that i got from you a while ago just put out a TON of flowers. Such tiny cute flowers that smell like cinnamin! Very nice!
