Help with Paphiopedilum picture on this site
In the home part of this site, if you scroll down a bit there's a section about paphiopedilums. There's a picture of one that I really liked so I'd be very happy to know the name (happier to find one  ), if someone knows it. I saw one on a site that looks like it and it could be the same one. Its name is paph. sukhakulii. |

I think Marty wrote that article - he can probably tell you what it is for sure. It looks like Paph sukhakulii to me though.

The petals are much too broad and rounded for a type species, don't you think?

Broad and somewhat rounded petals (green, with maroon blotches) are characteristic of this particular species; other recognizable features include the reddish lip and smallish, rounded, white dorsal with green striping. It could very well be a hybrid with a great deal of sukhakulii influence, but it looks very much like a pure sukhakulii. Something else to look for are the green markings on the staminode.

It does very greatly resemble the pictured plant, but again, we can never know for sure without confirmation from Marty.
