Hi, so I'm a new orchid owner and I have just had 2 of my orchids bloom finally! please help me identify them?
The first dark purple one only had 1 bloom and is a little bigger than a quarter. I had another plant just like it that bloomed a short while ago too and only produced 2 flowers. The flowers only lasted about a week. Is something wrong with the plant or is this normal?

the second pink one is tiny, about the size of a finger nail.

any help would be great! thanks

The first is a dendrobium not sure but seems like a hybrid. The seccond is a Dimeranda but no idea which one.

The first is a Dendrobium hybrid, the second is Dimerandra emarginata, a small species in the Cattleya alliance.

On the Dimerandra - While there are several species described and often accepted, they are extremely similar and this photo can't possible distinguish among them.

The Dendrobium is an intersectional hybrid, with Section Phalaenanthe (Den phal types) and Section Spatulata (Antelope) at least. Determining the precise hybrid is unlikely.
