I hope you can find new homes for everything you rescue. Its too bad about that tree. I wish we didnt have to bring down forests to develop.

I think this particular species may come into the sacranthinae group as both size and features aren't dissimilar to Sacrochilus or even Plectorhiza.

Below is the key of the tribe Sarcanthinae. This will hopefully show how many different genus that particular species may fall into.
Sarcanthinae
Alliance: Phalaenopsis, Vanda, Trichoglottis.

Trichoglottis Alliance:
Abdominea, Acampe, Amesiella, Cleisostoma, Gastrochilus, Neofinetia, Robiquetia, Trichoglottis.

Vanda Alliance:
Adenoncos, Arachnis, Ascocentrum, Ascoglossum, Euanthe, Luisia, Renanthera, Vanda, Vandopsis.

Phalaenopsis Alliance:
Aerides, Chiloschista, Doritis, Phalaenopsis, Paraphalaenopsis, Rhynchostylis, Sarcochilus.

As seen from the above post it may well be a Acampe species although the lip isn't right I don't think.
Plectorrhiza or tho not classified to a particular alliance yet could also be a possibility as both plant habit and flower structure are very similar.

Default Sarcanthinae

Nearly half the genera in Sarcanthinae has been left out in the above listing:
Dimorphorchis, Dyakia, Esmeralda, Grosourdya, Haraella, Holcoglossum, Kingidium, Micropera, Papilionanthe, Plectorrhiza, Pomatocalpa, Rhinerrhiza, Schoenorchis, Sidirea, Seidenfadenia, Smitinandia, Taeniophyllum, Thrixspermum, Trudelia.

I think you might find your answer in Thrixspermum, a genus of some 100 to 150 species, widely distributed from Ceylon and India to the Pacific islands.
