Default Need an ID, think it's a Pleurothallis but which one?

This belongs to my friend Linda...she lost the tag on it during last winter's numerous moves and only realized it recently

Not really sure but I think it might be some kind of Lepanthopsis. What ever it is "I like"

Definitely acestrophylla.

No, this is not Pleurothallis acestrophylla. The look of the growth/leaf is way off.

It will help to identify it if you can describe the plant a little, like size of the leaf, flower... A close up of the flower also will help.

I think the plant is closer to being Plths discoidea.

Not definitive.

It's difficult to ID an unidentified Plths. There are so many of them. Not to mention, the same plant can have variations in physical appearance depending on the growing conditions it's subjected to.

From what I see on Jay's Internet Orchid Encyclopedia, this is the closest looking one.

Ask your friend if the name sounds familiar.

Unless of course, she purchased it as a random Plths sp., then she wouldn't know.

Linda said the same thing about the leaves
She's already leaving for her trip so I'll ask her when she returns in 3 weeks.

Thanks very much for all the help, folks

Thanks!

This looks much closer to what she has. I'll forward her the info but she won't see it for a few weeks
