Default Please help identify this plant

Hi,

My partner won the attached orchid in a raffle at the orchid show in Golden Gate Park San Francisco last weekend and we have no idea what it is.

It was not potted, but I put it in a box w/ spag in a sunny window. It had brown spots when we got it.

Anyone know what it is???

Thanks!

Robert

Looks like a Pleurothallid, but I don't know any more than that. Perhaps a close-up photo of the flowers would help with the ID.

Thanks Sue. It's not in bloom, so the leaves are all that I have to go on.

Most likely you have got some Pleurothallis although it might as well be a Restrepia. I can not think of anymore options at the moment. My guess is that it is about 20 centimeters high?

My father has a plant that looks quite like this, and is a Restrepia sp. Don't have a photo of it to show you how much they look a like but Restrepia is my best bet

Hi Corina,

You can http://www.neofinetia.com or http://www.orchids.org/species/gener...ata/index.html give a try.

Good luck with your plant(s),

Sicco
