1st Blooms!! ID??
Default 1st Blooms!! ID??

Hey thought I would post my first 2 ever Orchid blooms!! I am very proud of them cuz they came from 2 plants that looked dead and when i moved in and started watering them i started seeing new green leaves.

Please help ID them and let me know how I should continue care for them... the first is mounted on an old wood fence post and the other is growing out of a stick in a pot with other (what i thought were dead) sticks...

They are both Dendrobium hybrids, but beyond that it is impossible to identify them with certainty.

How nice to see you've got flowers. As Ron said they are both Dendrobium hybrids. Den is a huge group and so it can be difficult to know how to look after them but there is a general care sheet here.

I am a beginner too and a new member--knew they were Denbrodiums; but, still wanted to congratule you on your success as I ran across your post while trying to navigate this site.

Whoa - you must have magic fingers to get those little guys to bloom! Looks like you snatched them back from death's door - very good save.
