Default Trader Joe Phals, Tag Confirmation

Check it out!

I got two new phals at Trader Joes today. One I really really hope is a mini and will stay small, its so dang cute.

The other one has roots literally everywhere, and growing! I got it because it looks so dang healthy.

I will repot them tonight, but in the meantime, can someone confirm the tags seem to be right?

Dtps. Taisuco Candystripe ex Phal amabilis

Phal Ele Tris x Phal Yukihime

I think they look pretty good. I am really excited about them!

Doritaenopsis Taisuco Candystripe = Doritaenopsis Okay Seven X Doritaenopsis Sun-Chen Beauty

Phalaenopsis amabilis is a species

(Note - Taisuco stands for Taiwan Sugar Company)
-------------------------------------------------

Phalaenopsis Ele Tris, I couldn't find in the RHS registry
Perhaps it is P. Be Tris ??

Phalaenopsis Yukihime = Phalaenopsis Baby Hat X Phalaenopsis amabilis

They are all registered hybrids except for Ele Tris.
Because they have no single registered name, the parent's name is considered it's registered hybrid (grex) name

Dorothy you may be a genius. In fact, when I posted this I was just waiting for you to chime in with the names

And it is Be tris instead of ele tris I read it wrong.

Do you think the little guy will stay a little guy? The blooms are so cute I dont want them to grow in the future.

Be Tris has Phal equestris in it and Dtps has Doritis pulcherrima in it ..
They most likely will not grow as big as standard hybrid Phals with those smaller Phal species in their lineage - I don't believe the flowers will get any larger than what has already bloomed ..

Thanks! I like to spend all day in the window. The airshow was last weekend and the blue angels kept flying right past my window in formation. A few times i thought the windows would explode! Super fun!

A few of the buds that looked blasted when I got them have fallen. the rest look really good and they seem to be surviving the repotting.
