Weng, unless you have access to good providers of orchids locally, the chance of finding them labelled is pretty slim. And I live far from a city.So I have forced myself to accept NOID as the name for many. Frustrating as the dickens! But nothing spoils their appearance or their fragrance (if any).

I can't access your photo but wonder if your plant might be some form of Dendrobium kingianum?

I wonder what happened to the photo. I was looking for it yesterday. I think it is possibly Den.Blue Twinkle(It looks like it),but I'll never know its real name for sure.At any rate it is a nice graceful blossom.
Thankyou for your input.Every bit helps.

Silberhaarig, Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude. I have at least 30 NoIDs myself. Some of them are actually better than my best named varieties. I just label them sequentially like this <Dendrobium hybrid #1 'Walmart'>. This way, the plant can have a 'proper' name, and it will never mislead anyone, should it ever escape into the wider orchid community.

Of course we'd like to see your pic, Barbara!
No member of this site ever needs to feel embarrassed about anything...well, nothing to do with orchids anyway

It would be impossible to confuse a kingianum with a Blue Twinkle.
I can't see the picture but I hope you are right.

I sure would like to know what happened to the picture. The blossom is obviously one of the antelope type and is white with pale blue/lavender edges. As with many of my orchids which are NOIDS I bought them to rescue them from Walmart or Lowes and because I liked them.As I have no plans to get into doing more with them than just admiring them, I figure it would be nice to know the name but not really essential. I'm getting philosophical in my old age.
Thankyou for your comments. They all help.

Weng, please don't think that I felt you were rude. You weren't. It was just my abrupt response.
I would re-post the picture, but Photobucket has deserted me. I can't access it as it does not accept my name and password, and doesn't respond to a request to email me my name and password. Apparently it has deleted the few pictures of mine that I posted with them.
