Default My first Phrag.

When I first got this Phrag. the tag was not very visible and now that it is in bloom I can barely read the tag. It looks like Sorcerers Apprentice 4n x Grande or something like that. I researched the name and the picture I came up with looked to have more color. The name was also Les Diroulles (my spelling may be off) The tag also had the number 2568. Excuse my ignorance but is that number helpful in finding the ID of an orchid? Several of my plants have numbers at times preceded by a letter.

William, I think the number would be a grower's number. Does the tag show what nursery the plant came from? If so, by contacting them you could probably get an exact identification. Possibly a Phrag Sorcerer's Apprentice X Phrag. Grande? Very, very nice!

Though the color of yours may be a bit lighter, the flower form fits the cross. Very nice.

Thanks for the feedback. Getting the first one to bloom is exciting. Makes me want to get more, more,MORE. Now if the Vandas cooperate......... Beautiful plants but no flowers. I have faith though.
