Encyclia No ID? Male
Default Encyclia No ID?

Update: I sent some emails with pictures to everyone I know Claude, Andy, Santa Barbara Orchid Estate, etc. Andy got back to me just a couple of days ago, and identified it as Encyclia meliosma. The flowers are actually occasionally fragrant, with a very sweet scent, usually in the middle of the day.
I bought this as Encyclia incumbens and it is definitely not that. Long branching spike. Large round p-bulbs and one tongue shaped leave. Unscented flowers.

First, Welcome!

I am moving this post to the Identification forum, where it more likely to be noticed by someone who has some expertise in the ID department.

Microbulbon?
Figuring out a mis-labeled plant? That stumps people who have been doing this for years, too Especially in a genus like Encyclia, where many of the species look similar. If they get mixed up, probably no untangling the knot.

I'd be happy to chat via PM for specifics, but where'd you get this plant? Incumbens is definitely different (many closely spaced flowers, pale green to white with some venation, if memory serves).

I have E. candollei in my collection, and this looks very similar to mine in terms of flower count/spacing/color. Mine has more venation in the lip. It's such a beautiful species, and not easy to find, so I wonder if our plants came from the same source.
