Bright light, and mounted, keep it moist, but let it dry. They enjoy getting spritzed, but must dry out. I know, confusing. I'm still trying to figure it out myself.

I had 2 mounts of Tillandsia bulbosa... only one lived, and it was in shade with a little drier conditions... the other burnt to a crisp (I actually still see it dead in the bushes sometimes) ... you may be able to keep it in brighter light... maybe water it 3 times a week... but make sure that you water the leaves...

i love tillandsias! Yes, i agree, u shoud get them outof the spag. When i mount mine i either mount them on cork or tree fern plaques...They like semi shady conditions and when watered they need to be soaked...and then dry before night...reg tap water is fine b/c the extra minerals feed the plants. The cells on the leaves (trichnomes) abosrb water and can be damaged by too much handling of the plant...Good luck!

They are commonly known as Air plants here in Oz. I have a group of them glued to a part of a log suspended by wires. Semi shade and not too much water or they rot. Marion
