Lost orchid. Need name. Male
Question Lost orchid. Need name.

I used to have this beauty with no ID. After moving to Florida I have been trying to get the same. I have bought one called Laelia rubencens var semialba, but it is like a very tiny version of the one I used to have. I will submit a picture of my old plant to ask for help with the correct name, so I can search and buy one like the one I had. Please help

Looks like Laelia rubescens semi-alba to me. They tend to be pretty vigorous so your little one can become a big one in a few years.

Thumbs up Thank you

Thanks Roberta. Your answer has given me hopes that I have the right one then!

Some friend has told me it is a Laelia anceps semi alba which is a larger one...

I will try to see if I can find some on sale at a not so crazy price.

I have several plants of the species, not as nice as yours was, but still quite vigorous, puts on a really nice show every fall.
