It looks like it might be a species of some sort but there's not enough detail in the picture to actually tell. Can you get a picture without that bright flash? Somebody may be able to tell what this one is

I can't actually. I had this orchid as part of my "too big for my mother to take care of while I was at school" collection. She decided to get ride of those plants that were not performing or had bad scale. So this one went in the garbage never to be seen again - this is the only picture I have left .

I am fairly sure it is not a species though.
