Default Phal Little Steve - What happened to the flower?

This is one of my favourite phals. I have had it for a few years and it is consistent bloomer. I have been having a few issues with scales lately, and when this spike was developing, I found a nasty scale explosion. I blasted those critters with insecticide soap - I pretty much soaked the spike. A few weeks later, the first two flowers open with no problems. Then as the others were developing, the next five flowers just fell off. They seemed to develop to a certain point and then the shriveled and died. But the last flower open, but it open like this (see the pictures). Any ideas of what happened?

The plant is health and has a nice root system.

Any ideas would be helpful.

Hmmm, looks like Happy Days. This type, probably dtps, seem to like high humidity to bloom well. Have you changed the humidity lately?
