Default pink Cymbidium

Hi all! Just trying my luck only here. Has anyone encountered or grown or grows a Cymbidium with flowers that looks like this one?

I have searched online for quite a while! So had done quite LOT of searching.

The origins of it might never be known. But trying our luck is always ok!

That is very close indeed Rbarata! Has that one got a tag name? It is certainly close. Yours has a red line that runs right through. The other flower hasn't got the red line running through ----- although has a couple of spot along that line though.

Thanks for sharing that photo! Let me know if you have a tag name, and let me know what tag name it is if you got it. Wonderful flower you have!

South Park and rbarata. I think your pink with wine beauties sould be called "Hello Dolly", unless that is an already registered name. I have been singing Broadway songs this morning

Early - hahaha. Nice!

Roberta (in another thread Click Here) provided a possible lead toward the origins of the pink orchid that I'm trying to get some details about.

The pink flowered orchid in the opening post is still no-id, but Roberta's very nice lead definitely gets me closer to a getting a flower that mostly resembles this one, particularly certain features of the lip - including the small little breaks in the reddish line that runs down the middle of the lip. The breaks appears as a 'line' of red dots down the middle.

Notice that rbarata's flower has a full (solid) red line down the middle, while the flower I'm after has broken line. But then again - in the orchid world ----- may be it's possible that rbarata's flower could develop the same broken line pattern under other growing conditions - not sure!
