Default Possible Cattleya Alliance ID Please/Bud Watch

I was hoping to get some possible further identification to this orchid. I am not looking for an exact match and understand it will probably remain a NOID forever. My guess is it falls into the Cattleya alliance but I was hoping to narrow it down a little bit more (Brassavola, Broughtonia, Cattleya, Encyclia, Epidendrum, Laelia, Rhyncolaelia, etc.)

Backstory - This was given to me over 6 years ago by my mother in law and she had no idea what it was. She just told me it was an orchid. It never did well for me and just seemed to survive, not thrive. Then a few years back when I really got hooked on orchids I mounted it like most of my others and it started to take off, new growths and tons of roots. It is actually permanently attached to the wall now. It currently has several buds forming but attached is a photo of my mother in laws plant with a flower (the mother plant that she gave me a piece of years ago). Any help would be appreciated!

No I can't. The picture with the flower is not my orchid, it is my mother in laws orchid. She sent me that photo a week ago but my orchid was a division of hers. Obviously once mine blooms I will update with photos as that will help identify it better.

It is definitely some kind of Cattleya hybrid. Probably some Brassavola mixed in and likely a few other things...

There might be some Guarianthe mixed in as well...

Thanks all! When it blooms I will post a better photo of the flower and for now consider it a NOID cattleya hybrid.

Definitely hard to say what it is if it is a hybrid. But one start could be a google on : Brassavola nodosa x Cattleya Chocolate Drop

Or even a google on : Cattleya Chocolate Drop x Brassavola perrinii

It’s a night time photo but hopefully helps out some. Still, not my orchid.

Edit - Added a photo from today with a much clearer and closer picture of the flower. Still not sure if it helps any or not.

Alright, so my flowers finally opened. I can't detect any fragrance at this point in time but that is okay.

Stunning. I’d say a lot of brassavola in there for sure
