Default Please help me ID this large specimen

I've had this growing on top of a pot on the side of my house for about 20 years. It grows very long purplish flower spikes, and blooms very reliably every May. Can anybody tell me what it is?

That is a Myrmecophila. Used to be called Schimburgia.

definitely a myrmecophila. the rest of the schomburgkia species have been merged with laelia.
