Hello...
Not 100% sure on this, but it looks like something in Haemanthus family to me, possibly one of the albiflos varieties

I agree that it looks like a member of the Haemanthus family and also agree that albiflos is a good guess. Some of the members of the Haemanthus family have been moved into the genus Scandopsis. Many of these palnts are indigenous to South Africa including albiflos
Keep well and kind regards
Mike

My guess is also some kind of Haemanthus. Judging from the red tinge on the leaves, I'd say it's likely to be a red one, although the shape does suggest H. albiflos. Tricky. Could be a coloured variety, or a hybrid... What do the undersides of the leaves look like? Are there markings close to the neck of the bulb?

It seems that we are all agreed that it is a Hameanthus/Scandopsis species but which? The leaves resemble albiflos but from what I can remember from seeing that species in the wild the leaves look a bit too narrow. But then again I may be wrong. Lets wait and see the flowers.
Keep well and kind regards
Mike
