Phalaenopsis (Princess Kaiulani x hieroglyphica) x tetraspsis
Default Phalaenopsis (Princess Kaiulani x hieroglyphica) x tetraspsis

I wish this would become a named hybrid - the name is far too long! The blooms start off with a greenish tinge and then lighten to white over time. I like the hairy lip. It has a citrus scent in the morning and early afternoon too.

It's really small, a total span of about 4 inches, in a 2 inch pot. Blooms are about 1 inch. Two spikes on it, so quite precocious.

Terrific bloom. With two spikes it must be a happy plant.

You can register this yourself by sending an application to RHS. It costs 10 British Pound (about $16 US) to register a plant. I believe First Ray website has information on how to go about this.
