Default Small box from Peter Lin

A small box arrived today from Peter Lin. Both plants are in bloom, and were well-packed and apparently delicately handled by the USPS. The first is a really sweet little plant, Phal. stuartiana x javanica. Though not quite javanica's shape I think that the flower looks much more influenced by that species. The plant itself also shows little resemblance to the larger parent:

The second is a considerably larger plant. The size showed in his photos, and Peter warned me that it would be in need of repotting! It's Phal. Pylo's Ruby Stars. I have a particular weakness for little yellow Phals, and once I learned that Pylo is Peter's dog I had to have a Pylo:

They are beautiful! They look like very healthy plants. I remember the post with Pylo, cute dog and the flower on this one is amazing. Why am I not surprised you've ended up with these? Great choices!

I've thought of using the clonal names Happy Dog and Happy Cat. I bet people would buy poison ivy and poison oak with these names.

May I interest you in a healthy cutting of my Toxicodendron radicans "Sully's Smiling Dingleberries"?

Those are both very nice-looking plants, cute flowers!

As an aside, I recently got brave enough to make my very first ever mail-order purchase, and I chose Peter Lin, based in large part on the positive things I read here about that vendor. I'm very happy with my purchase and I'm sure I'll be buying from him again.

Very nice, John. I think a purchase is in my near future. But first, more lights.

Nice plants. I have never ordered from him, at least not yet.
