Default Sedirea japonica x Vandopsis parisii Hyou

This is the second season for this plant to bloom. It bloomed about this time a year ago. It had one flower spike. This year, it has two.

The flowers are fragrant. It is an astringent scent like Listerine?

Here is the plant:

The flower close-up:

This is an easy plant to grow. But I do not grow it with my other Phalaenopsis. I grow it with my Neofinetia falcata plants--on the cooler side, letting it dry completely. The relative humidity is 50-60%, moving fresh air, and under LED's.

It is potted like Neofinetia--NZ Sphagnum Moss, hollow core. The pot is a Neofinetia footed plastic 3" pot.

This is gorgeous! The beautiful tiny blooms are too pretty to smell like Listerine. Thanks for sharing this one.

What a beauty! If it smells like Listerine then I'm ready to smell the stuff - just don't make me gargle the flowers!

Thank you Patty and jkofferdahl for your comments. Listerine is about as close to the scent that I can describe! I was surprised that the flowers appear cupped instead of fat like other Phal flowers. Maybe as they age, they will flatten out. Last year's flowers did eventually flatten out and turn a brighter yellow.
