Hey Adam, this is Phal Tauoei Gold x Cassandra #2. When I got it, the leaves were wimped out and the garden center had it on the dumpster table...cost $1. Was doing well until it got crown rot and I am hoping it will grow a base keiki this summer. I met someone else from Cadillac on another board....Ross is his name...not that everybody in Cadillac knows one another...just a passing thought.

Howard, Adam and I have met. I covet his greenhouse Contrary to what may be thought, in a "city" of only 10,000 there are lots of folks that don't know each other. Heck, Adam used to live across the street from my son and my son (George) asked me if Adam was the guy with the really bright lights in his window at night George is just getting into orchids as well. Sorry for jacking this thread folks, but Doc started it

Thanks for the name Doc...the two phals that I have in my window are spiking right now...they were both gifted to me...so I'll have to wait and see what I get. Always good to see what everyone else is blooming.

Default Hold the boat!

Are you sure it's not a Phal Tai Pei Gold x Cassandra #2 ..
I have that orchid !
This is a photo when it was in bloom last year
The photo is a bit washed out - The petals and sepals were a brighter (yet soft muted) yellow with that blush of pink

Hey, Dorothy...always nice reading posts from you...for claification this is what I have labeled as 'Taipei Gold'. The label is printed in dark machine generated letters, too, not hand-written. No question as things go with Phals, wrong label in the pot, clone variation....who knows
