Sunburn... Advice needed (thank you)

So here's my story...

I am not new to orchid growing; I have 11 cyms and 7 phals all growing in semi-hydro medium and doing really well. (one pic attached below as proof of success learned from this forum)

2 weeks ago, I bought two new phals from a shop; as if I needed more orchids, but these two phals (color unknown), both had keikis growing on the spikes.
Bought them home, re-potted them in semi-hydro and inverted a big plastic bag over the pot to as it maximizes the RH% around the plant, slowing water loss while it gets acclimated (advised on this forum by Ray Barkalow).

I live in Lebanon; now we are in Fall season, rented appartment, most windows in living room face east, I usually take them phals out during the day onto the terrace to give them full sunlight to as the temp drops where they usually are grown especially at night to about 14 - 15 c.

Today, I took them out as usual, gave them a thorough watering, and as stupid as I am, I placed the bag over the plant; went to run some errands, returned to find the bag very misty on the inside and some leaves droopy. Other phals had no problem.

The leaves are soft but not mushy, especially the two top leaves on each plant.

I know the damage that was caused cannot be undone; but what do you guys think will happen to my plants, especially that they are transitioning into semi-hydro.

I think it should be fine as long as the leaves were not mushy. I think the sudden changes cause stress to the plant. It will adjust and will send out new growth with proper care.

There certainly is no sunburn there. Baking, maybe, burning, no.

What I see is a plant that has had issues taking up water, although the roots look to be OK.

Hello Ray,

The roots image are of another phal, as proof of the success I am having with semi-hydro following your directions.

As for the 2 plants in question, I have not removed them from the pot as they are transitioning into semi-hydro since 2 weeks.

What do you kindly suggest I would do; withhold the bright light, move it into a darker place and bag it again?

I know this is a little old, but yeah that might be more heat stress not sunburn. I had my new plants in an east window and every one up close to the glass got burned. In one day. It was an east window where in the house just right across the street they were fine and in our last house before this one were fine in a big east window too. I have no clue why this window is so bad? But I yanked them all out and put them on shelves. But the burns were all brown. I cut off maybe three or four leaves and left the rest to see what would happen. If they turned mushy I'd cut them off immediately. But no further damage happened. Now they just look a little ugly but they are all sending up spikes now! I'm sorry I can't help since I don't grow the way you do, I just do pots. But as long as you keep an eye on them they should be fine. They'll send up new leaves and will look good soon. Just baby them a bit until then.
