I love jumping spiders. They always remind me of little puppies.

As far as I know there are only 2 dangerous species of spider in North America: Black Widows, and Brown Recluses, and this little spider is neither one. I saw a brown recluse once, and squished it dead, lol.

They are cute. This one is especially adorable. Not just the appearance but the antics.

The big black one with the emerald chelicerae (Phidippus audax) is a favorite as they hop on my plants outside and in the house. By the way your original pic almost looks like one of the Bowl and Doilie Spiders...

That's a cool looking one. This reminds me of when I was a kid, I caught a little jumping spider and kept it in one of those critter keepers. I brought it bugs to eat, but wasn't sure if I was giving it the right kinds. Then one day I looked in, and saw a dry husk of a spider. I was so sad, and I started cleaning out the cage. While doing so, I saw him hopping around in there, and realized that it had just molted, not died. I was so happy that I immediately released the poor little thing.

I'm not sure if the spider in the pic is a bowl & doily, but by the pictures I saw when I Googled it, I don't think so. I think it's just some random cobweb spider.
