I have to show off this teeny tiny little guy that I picked up yesterday at the grocery store. I absolutely couldn't resist it. From the bottom of the pot to the tip of the spike it's about the length of my hand. So precious!!

You probably already know this, but thought I would mention it. If you haven't already repotted it, I would strongly consider it, as all the minis I've ever seen in stores are planted in just moss.

Anyway, what a gorgeous little guy! I really love my two minis. Of course, I love the big ones just as much, but I'm a little space limited so the minis work perfectly for me!

I just take a knife and cut slits in the pot. I even let the roots grow out of the slits. They do fine and it makes the spagh dry out sooner. That way I can make sure I don't shorten the bloom time.

Then when they are done blooming I cut the pot off re-pot and wha-la. Of course I re-pot in bark spagh mix and then I have to water more often. I sort of like them in the little pots as they don't take as much time.

I am a reformed root rotter, and am very careful when I bring new ones home. This guy had a ton of moss in it, so I just loosened it up. In my environment, the little ones do best in moss, but the bigger ones get a moss/bark mix.

Thanks for your kind words everyone! This is the smallest orchid I've ever owned. The height of the whole plant is only from the bottom of my palm to the tip of my middle finger. That's saying something, cause I have little hands!
