Default a lot more on the way

Group shot - on this shelf all have spikes, some have 2.
Bottom left - K S Happy Eagle, the pollen parent, also in spike.
I know convention says that for phals to spike the average temperature should drop 10-15f overnight for approx. 6 weeks. However these are under lights and in an airconditioned ( 73f ) home and have been in basically the same position since deflasking. In fact one of the spiking phals is the one in the first bloom photo. So - in summary, conventions are not always right ! As they say in politics, trust but verify.

They all look so healthy! Do you find the humidity tray to work well for you?

I don't really use it as such - in other words I don't fill it with water. All my phals under lights are in tightly packed long-fibred sphagnum moss which retains water ( and humidity ) well. Right now my humidity level in the tray being measured is 59% and temp is 78f. ( house is airconditioned to 73f )
